Biography

Irena Prochazkova was born in the Czech Republic in 1973 and currently lives and works in Prague. Inspired by the great masters of the 20th century, especially the artistic movements of Impressionism and Expressionism, she was significantly influenced by the academic painter Bedřiška Uzdilova, with whom she studied from 2011 to 2020. Irena is also a member of the "Black Canvas International Art Community," founded by painter Alexander Onishenko. Her professional art career began in 2016 when she opened her own studio and held her first exhibition in Prague. Since then, Irena has showcased her works at prestigious international events, including ArtExpo New York, START London, Carrousel Du Louvre, FIABCN Barcelona, and Art Connects Women in Dubai. She has also exhibited across Europe and in Mauritius. Her work is represented in galleries across Prague, Austria, Italy, Spain, and has earned numerous awards, including the MERIT AWARD and Premio Speciale Della Critica.
