Biography

Creating allows me to express personal experiences, particularly the challenges of adapting to new countries as a young student. Moving from Denmark to Sweden, the UK, and France, away from my family, shaped my artistic journey. My paintings are minimalistic yet dynamic, blending irregular, curved, and straight lines to create a sense of movement and balance. Working in an abstract, non-figurative style, I focus on color, line, and shape rather than narrative or symbolism. My colors radiate energy—sometimes bold and vibrant, other times earthy, using ancient pigments like Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, and Indian Red. I embrace recycled materials, breathing new life into ancient canvases, obsolete maps, copper engravings, and aged music sheets, each with a unique patina. I also have a deep appreciation for old, silver- or gold-plated frames. My art thrives in an “organized mess” of colors, materials, and textures, making me a true #recycleartist.
