Biography

Carol Fraser is a multi-talented Guyanese artist, fashion designer, entrepreneur, and humanitarian with over 35 years of experience. A Burrows School of Arts alumna, she is the former president of the Guyana Women Artist Association and an active member of the Guyana Manufacturing Services Association (GMSA). As the CEO of Miracle Hands Designs, she merges art with sustainability, promoting eco-friendly materials in fashion. Her designs, showcased at Carifesta in Suriname, Haiti, and Barbados, highlight the beauty of natural fibers and biodegradable materials. She also contributes to construction and interior design, aligning with Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS). Fraser has led the Women’s Innovation and Investment Network (WIIN) garment program across Guyana’s ten regions. Recognized for her excellence in fashion and craft, she remains a leading female leather artist and natural fiber designer, committed to art, sustainability, and community empowerment.
