Biography

Hyunjeung Kim is a Seoul-based traditional Korean painter (K-artist) with a deep passion for Korean folk paintings. She is particularly drawn to the unique colors, materials, and philosophy that define this art form. Her works feature subjects like flowers, trees, mountains, rivers, animals, and grasslands, each symbolizing happiness, health, love, wealth, and success. Using traditional powdered paints and Hanji paper, Hyunjeung aims to preserve and pass on the spirit of Korean art. Through her work, she conveys the positive messages embedded in folk paintings, sharing the joy and meaning of happiness with her audience.
