Salman ALHAJRI, born in 1978, comes from the city of Bidiya, located in the middle of Ash Sharqiyah region, in the Sultanate of Oman. This city has marked its imagination, with sand dunes surrounded by palm trees and mangoes. From his childhood, he was fascinated by these landscapes and the magnificence of the moon and stars. It’s thanks to this environment that he decided to become a scholarly artist in the field of visual arts. He is an assistant professor of graphic design in the field of digital arts at Sultan Qaboos University. In 2005, he graduated from the University of Technology Sydney, with a Masters in Design. In 2013, he graduated from the School of Arts and Design at the University of Loughborough in the United Kingdom with a Ph.D.

He presented his own artistic style, his experiences, his philosophy with a contemporary vision that is distinguished by his creativity, his sense of color harmony, the simplicity and attractiveness of his compositions. In his digital works, Salman displays a great sensitivity to colors and light in his scenes of Omani daily life, both day and night. In addition to his digital art, his work as a painter is also distinguished by the diversity of artistic practices, including abstraction, expression, contemporary Arabic calligraphy and the design of publications. His drawings and paintings represent the Omani culture, its inhabitants and its heritage in all its forms.
