Nilufar Yeasmin Noor, a Bangladeshi artist raised in Oman since 1990, bridges science, education, and art through her innovative creations. With a background in life sciences, she began her career as a science teacher, but her passion for art led her to explore various mediums and art history, reshaping her identity as an artist. Starting with acrylics and oils, Nilufar captured landscapes with vibrant colors, but her creative journey soon embraced sustainability. She now uses natural pigments like henna and creates varnish from frankincense resin, blending tradition with environmental consciousness. Inspired by Oman's breathtaking landscapes and her Bangladeshi roots, her art reflects cultural duality and ecological awareness. As an art and design educator at the British School Salalah, she nurtures young talents, sharing her expertise in art history and sustainable practices. Nilufar’s transition from science to art exemplifies her belief in the interconnectedness of disciplines and the power of passion.
