Biography

Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Naguy Kusibula Nzunga is a passionate visual artist with a deep love for art in all its forms. She specializes in repoussé copperwork, one of her favorite techniques. Naguy discovered her artistic talent through her peers and turned this passion into a dream of becoming a painter. In 2004, she pursued her studies at the Kinshasa School of Fine Arts to refine her skills. However, upon discovering the world of metal arts, particularly dinanderie (metal embossing), she shifted her focus. She earned her degree in metal sculpture in 2014. While copper filigree remains her expertise, she also explores painting and other artistic disciplines. Her work, blending realism and abstraction, reflects her daily life. Naguy has exhibited worldwide, including in Dubai and Mauritius, earning numerous awards. Dubbed "The Copper Congolese" in Togo, she is one of Africa’s leading visual artists.
