Biography

Andrea Daniela Larrea Solórzano holds a PhD in Design, along with master's degrees in Digital Graphic Design and Teaching. She is currently a fellow in the Multidisciplinary Postdoctoral Program in Design at the University of Palermo. Her academic background includes studies in Visuality, Anthropology, Contemporary Art, Museography, and Curatorship at FLACSO – Ecuador. As a professor at the Faculty of Design and Architecture at the Technical University of Ambato, she is also a full member of the Academic Section of Plastic Arts at the Ecuadorian House of Culture, Tungurahua. Her research focuses on iconography, design history, ethnic design, and lowbrow art. A visual artist with an international presence, she has exhibited in Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Dubai, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Portugal, Taiwan, and Venezuela. Her work bridges design, culture, and contemporary artistic expression, contributing to the global art and academic community.
