Biography

Born and raised in Iraq, a land rich in culture, history, and resilience, I found solace in painting from a young age. Art became my voice, allowing me to capture emotions and stories beyond words. Despite life’s challenges, I have always sought beauty in everyday moments, a theme that resonates deeply in my work. This year, my painting pays tribute to Sameera, my role model and an unsung hero. As the wife of Hope Founder Hisham Al Thahabi, she plays a vital role in supporting over 90 children at The Iraqi House of Creators, offering them a chance at a better future. One unforgettable day, I saw her dressed in white, surrounded by the children in matching attire, celebrating the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday. That breathtaking moment became the inspiration for my painting—an ode to her radiance, selflessness, and the power of unity she embodies.
