Born in Japan, Kehoii Horiguchi began crafting washi bags by repurposing unused kimono bags. Over time, she mastered traditional Japanese techniques and now focuses on a holistic approach—gathering raw materials like plants and spring water from her surroundings, making her own paper, and shaping it into unique designs. Deeply interested in ethnic cultures, she aspires to create mixed-culture bags that blend traditional influences in collaboration with various communities. She envisions her bags as cultural bridges, fostering communication between people worldwide. Horiguchi actively participates in international art exhibitions, particularly in Dubai, where her work is showcased on global platforms.
