Veronique Christine-Laurent is a dedicated Mauritian artist and educator with a BA in Fine Arts and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She blends her passion for teaching and artistic practice, currently shaping the next generation of creatives while evolving her own artistry. Influenced by her multicultural heritage—her grandmother from India and grandfather from Africa—Veronique’s art reflects deep cultural narratives, traditions, and personal stories. Her vibrant works, showcased on Kuler Baz'Art and at Gallery Tamaris, capture bold brushstrokes and rich colors that evoke emotion and connection. She has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions and is committed to fostering Mauritius’s artistic community. Through murals, mentorship, and workshops for children and adults, she nurtures emerging talent in painting, drawing, and clay techniques. Her art is an intimate dialogue between culture, emotions, and materials, creating pieces that celebrate heritage, self-expression, and artistic growth.
