Biography

Saroja Khadgi is a distinguished artist from Pathari Sanischare, Morang, Nepal, known for her contributions to fine arts and her dedication to social impact. She is an assembly member at the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and the founder of Everest Art Fusion, an organization that promotes artistic collaboration. Throughout her career, Saroja has earned prestigious accolades, including the National Honor Award for Fine Arts (2024) and the National Fine Arts Special Award for Painting (2017). Her artwork, showcased in national and international exhibitions, explores human emotions and social realities. Beyond her artistic achievements, she is committed to arts education and empowerment. She played a key role in establishing Nepal’s first government fine arts college outside the Kathmandu Valley and launched a ceramic industry to support unemployed women. Through her work, Saroja continues to inspire and expand opportunities for artists while using art as a tool for social change.
