Biography

Norway | Artist: Lea Nasnas

Léa Nasnas, born in Lebanon in 1981, is a self-taught artist known for her unique style. Amidst the Lebanese Civil War and her parents' divorce, she fled to Paris with her younger brother, where they lived with their grandmother. After her mother remarried a Norwegian man, the family relocated to Oslo. Léa moved to Lebanon in 1999 to study international relations at USJ in Beirut, later specializing in corporate communication in Paris, where she met her husband. The couple settled in Lebanon in 2004, where Léa worked in journalism, event production, and communication management. Léa turned to painting to express her sensitivity and emotions, quickly falling in love with the fluidity and color of paint. Guided by her inner child, she signs her work "Ley" after her nickname, "Leyouche." Her distinctive style, characterized by hearts, wings, and strong emotions, is known as "emotion-art," often using blue, bright, and metallic acrylics.
