Biography

María Isabel Pino is an award-winning Panamanian sculptor with over 30 years of experience working with clay and bronze. Since 2010, her sculptures have been exclusively cast in bronze. Renowned for her striking silhouettes emerging from trunks, flowers, and leaves, her work explores the connection between nature and the female form. She has exhibited in major cities worldwide, including Paris, Dubai, Miami, New York, Madrid, Cannes, Tokyo, and Panama. She has represented Panama at the United Nations in New York, UNESCO in Paris, and Dubai’s International Women’s Day commemoration. María Isabel received the Award for Artistic Creation at the International Exposition of Contemporary Artists in Madrid and has a sculpture in New York’s QCC Art Gallery. In 2022, she won third prize at the Buenos Aires Biennial of Contemporary Art and the Sculpture Award at Art Spectrum Miami. Her sculptures are commissioned in Panama and the U.S.
