Biography

Breda Sturm is a Slovenian artist who earned her Master’s degree with distinction in 2010 from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana. She also holds a degree in Architecture from the same university. A versatile freelancer, she works in illustration, graphic book design, interior design, and architecture, and has received training in Italy, Spain, and at the Art Students League of New York in the USA. Sturm has been awarded various scholarships, including one from the Association of Slovenian Artists in 2007 for young illustrators. Her work has been showcased at numerous prestigious exhibitions, including Villa Manin, Italy; Künstlerhaus, Austria; Slovenian Contemporary Art SLOVENINDIA in New Delhi, India; and European Parliament, Brussels. Additionally, her art has been exhibited in Boston, Trieste, Venice, and Abu Dhabi. In 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs purchased her works for the New Wave collection.
