Biography

Pinar Bicmen is an artist known for her collection "We Women…," created using oil painting. This series features portraits combined with fictional narratives, blending figurative and symbolic characters. Bicmen views art as more than just pleasure, using it as a “silent language” to convey deep emotional and intellectual effects. In her collection, the dominant use of simple colors and expressions emphasizes the importance of recognizing and nurturing human values. Each piece in the collection has its own unique story and message, reflected in its title. Bicmen’s works have been exhibited internationally, including at events like the Bodrum Art and Antiques Fair, ArtAnkara, World Art Dubai, and in New York and Dubai galleries. She has received awards, including the 2024 Dubai The Emirates-Artventurous IPA art award and "most successful female painter" at the Kırmızıtürk art magazine awards. She lives and works in Istanbul.
